Ferny Turnbull

Come for Ferny Turnbull, stay for George Canyon.

Ferny Turnbull was formed by childhood friends Steve Campbell and Wayne Jones in Winnipeg Manitoba. Some of the bands influences include Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Dr. Hook, Marshal Tucker, Johnny Cash, Jimmi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. All of which are reflected in the music we play. Over the years the band has evolved into a dedicated group of players consisting of :

Singer/guitarist Steve Campbell
Drummer Wayne Jone
Lead Guitarist Cody Wells
Bassist Doug Braun

With well over 250 shows under our belts, Ferny Turnbull is proving to be a true working band. We refer to ourselves as a lets hit the road kind of band !!! Having played all over Canada we are eager to broaden our horizons !!!

Sharpe Sisters on Saturday

Saturday afternoon we start off the musical day with the wonderful Sharpe Sisters.

The Sharpe Sisters were born and raised south of Portage and have been surrounded by music their entire lives.  They come from a family of 10 musicians who all learned to sing and play by ear.  The songs they have written will take you for a walk through their memories of growing up on a farm with a loving close knit family.  Country music is their passion and is expressed through three part harmonies with acoustic guitars.

Their first CD “Lookin Back” was released last November and is a collection of their original songs and their favorite country tunes.   Their deepest appreciation goes out to the many people who come out to enjoy their music!
